Natural stone has a wide range of applications, it is used both outside and indoors. They finish walls and floors, sidewalks and facades. It is used to make countertops and fireplaces, columns, interior and exterior items, sculptures, mosaics, etc.

General information:

Natural stone is exceptional and diverse. It is the oldest finishing material.

The most common types of stone are marble, granite, quartzite, onyx, travertine, slate. All of them have their own features, characteristics and recommendations for use. Various types of stone processing are possible, differing both in perception and properties.

Most stone products require careful handling, special operating conditions, and careful care.

In Russia, the culture of using natural stone is dominated by the attitude to the product as a museum exhibit, which sets super-tasks for stone handlers and requires them to be of the highest skill. In the rest of the world, the attitude is much simpler. Especially for kitchen countertops made of marble, which can scratch, get dirty, chip off, and this is normal, since this is a working surface made of stone.

It is difficult to choose a stone from a sample. When ordering a stone product, it is better to study the properties of a certain type of stone, see a specific slab in the supplier's warehouse and fall in love with it if the stone is good.

When buying custom-made material, request photos and dimensions.

The manufacture of natural stone products requires a special approach, knowledge of the material and experience. When ordering products, it is important to choose the right stone worker with extensive experience and skills in manufacturing the appropriate product. Someone makes countertops well, someone specializes in mosaics, others on complex fireplaces, etc.

The absolute uniqueness of each product, even made from the same batch of material.

Excellent polishing and incredible depth.

A variety of types, decors and finishing.

Composition and production:

Each type of stone has its own composition. Each batch is individual. Each plate is unique. It has different sizes of plates and thicknesses.

The stone is mined in blocks. Quarries for the extraction of stone are located all over the world.

It is important not only where to get the block, but also where the plates were made of it.

The world leaders in the manufacture of natural stone slabs with high-tech production facilities are located in Italy.

The block in factories is sawn into plates of the required thickness. A mesh is glued on the brittle materials from the reverse side and the plates are filled with a special resin to close cracks and pores. In some marbles, you have to add so much resin that you can call them marble agglomerate. Some factories tint the plates with dyes to give a brighter shade or create a color that does not exist in nature. Then the plate is polished, after which it is ready for sale.

Once in the warehouse of a good supplier, it is impossible not to fall in love and leave without buying.
